Interested in teaching at REWILD?

Below are the steps to begin your journey.

We value the integrity of our mission and teachers that are aligned. Our greatest value is those unafraid to be themselves, seek honesty and truth, in their evolution of growth and connection towards community. Going through our BE BAD program is not required but highly recommended. The reason is we value and emphasis certain qualities, that may not exist in other trainings. *Baptiste inspired training programs are highly recommended. What we’re looking for is simple. How present and aware you are is everything to us. When you understand the basics really well, teaching becomes simple, creative and fun.

STEPS TO TEACHING

STEP 1

Apply for teacher role.

STEP 2

CHOOSE A MENTOR (a REWILD teacher)

STEP 3

PRACTICE 4 x PER WEEK  

  • Give the teacher who’s class you took: KEEP STOP START feedback every time.

STEP 4

PRACTICE TEACH 1x PER WEEK

  • Can use the studio or it can be anywhere.

    • Email / text mentor and Steve on KEEP STOP START on yourself for each class you teach. 

    • Film at least one class with Mic and share with Steve and Mentor.

STEP 5

EMAIL at least one new discovery per week to Teaching mentor and Steve.

  • Don’t over think this. This can be so simple.  For example how my feet rotate and twist and stretch between a transition from wide legged forward fold to namaste front facing fold. 

STEP 6

COMMUNITY CLASSES

  • After 50 plus classes, and all tasks complete, and approval of the mentor then community class is granted. ***exceptions may be granted, but not promised based on progress, attitude, skill – so the intangibles.  

  • THE MAIN criteria is how well you receive and implement feedback.   We want your greatness and for you to access your full human potential!  If you cannot receive feedback you will be unable to give feedback therefore you cannot be a great teacher.  We value your greatness and don’t lower our standards for anybody.  You shouldn’t lower yours!

STEP 7

Continued Community classes will be assessed week by week. 

  • 1 - 6 community classes

STEP 8

  • If community classes are approved, you get on the sub list. No pay for 3 months as sub. Still in developmental and orientation process.

STEP 9

  • Teacher begins as full time sub with teacher pay.  Teacher may or may not get new class time, depending on various factors.

  • IF proven permanent class times are given based on availability. 

  • IF no class times works, then continue subbing with pay.

TRUST THE PROCESS

  • More than anything at REWILD we are looking of genuine relationships.  This begins with our leadership team.  We value truth and sincerity, which creates respectful and honest relationships.  Transparency is everything to us, we have nothing to hide and we will embody that through our leadership and community.  If you love the work of human understanding, that’s physical, mental, and growth this process will be fun and exciting and deeply rewarding!

  • Power flow teachers | 

    • must know and teach Journey into Power.  Most prove they can teach Journey into Power. Creativity in sequences will come later.  We want to see how well you pay attention to the room and actualize pillars (drishti, breathe, bandhis, tapas, flow).  We want to see your pacing, timing, energy.  We care less about your “creative sequence” more about your presence in the room. 

      • IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO TEACH POWER FLOW you must make that clear to us.  We have other offerings, SLOW BURN.

HIRED REWILD TEACHERS

TEACHER INITIATION

  • Upon initiation receive welcome pack / standard of teacher / value of teaching / core philosophy of RY style

  • Sign teacher contract, pay plus agreement

  • Photographed / professional photos

TEACHER responsibility

  • Arrive 30 min prior to class

  • Stay 15 min to talk to students

  • Announcements end of class

  • Recognize all new people to studio and encourage first timers pack and to try other teachers

  • Part of an exclusive team that breeds truth, inclusiveness and family like community
