Steve Kocsis

OWNER, TEACHER, LEADER OF BE BAD

Steve started REWILD YOGA because of his passion for human nature.  When your mind and body are of health, which derives from the root word whole you become a light for others.  His artistic and creative side envisioned a studio that embodied this idea of naturalness and wholeness. Superficially he wanted the design of rawness and realness to embody his mission.  Fundamentally a group of leaders that embodied this rawness or realness and for that to spill out into the community.  The name, the logo, the design and most importantly to the people came together to form this vibrant community that is growing like our plants, wildly and consistently.

Steve started practicing yoga in 2009.  His sister in law while watching a Cleveland Cavs basketball game recommended he and other friends try it.  Steve remembers his first class as a shock, having to walk out of his first class at (Cleveland Yoga) due to the amount of sweat he accumulated from the heat and constant change of pace.   He loved the wake up call this created for him and become a regular practitioner since.  The layers continued to be removed opening him up to a whole new understanding of himself and others.

He later got trained at Core Power Yoga in 2016 for 200 hours.  Then did level one training (100 hours) with Baron Baptiste in Thailand.  Then completed his level two training (100 hours) with Paige Elenson in Sedona Arizona under the Baptiste Yoga Institute.   He now leads his own training which is heavily inspired by Baptiste and various teachers that showed him the ways.
